Project description:
Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) is 6.4 km long and consists of a complex network of tracks, passenger platforms and four control towers at Cherry Street, Scott Street, John Street and Bathurst Street. It has 14 station tracks with platform access, and more than 180 signals, 250 switch machines, 40 km of circuited track and all associated infrastructure.
The Union Station program is designed to upgrade Union station and the rail corridor to allow for the increase capacity to meet the demand of the planned GO Service level under GO Expansion. The program consists of improved platforms, more access to platform level, a new concourse between York and Bay Concourse, bridge expansion for future additional tracks and a new rail yard - Wilson yard to meet the future service level demand and electrification.
Our founder was the lead in managing the construction interfaces across the USRC which involved the production of staging plan, coordinating design/construction activities and stakeholder integration.
